The youths from among 20 and 24 years old will be able to get vaccinated against dengue starting next Friday at City of Buenos Aires that wants to ensure the protection of the health of the neighbors and the shifts will be requested on the website of the City Government titled “My BA.”
On this occasion, the City of Buenos Aires accompanies the recommendations of the National Immunization Commission, based on which the Ministry of Health of the Nation In coordination with the provinces, it defined the national guidelines for the vaccination campaign free of charge.
The vaccine that will be used is Qdenga which was approved by the ANMAT in 2023 and developed by the Takeda laboratory. Its use was approved after efficacy and safety studies (phase III), and phase IV studies will be carried out in 2025.

Due to the increase in cases, the vaccination process was accelerated and City decided to buy the doses to strengthen and complement the national strategy and thus accelerate the campaign.
On the other hand, from the City Government announced that the vaccination plan will be developed progressively and in stages, in line with national guidelines and subject to the availability of vaccines.
Although, they mentioned that vaccination is not indicated for immunosuppressed patients, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, children under 4 years of age and over 60 years of age.
Dengue vaccination shifts
On Friday, November 1, they will begin with the application of vaccination against dengue for young people between 20 and 24 years old, while adolescents between 15 and 19 years old will be able to continue requesting appointments.
Only residents of the City of Buenos Aires will be able to access your appointment to get vaccinated, which they must attend with their ID and vaccination card.
For vaccination you must bring:
- Identity document proving residence in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
- Vaccination card.
- Web shift assignment.
