At around 10.30 p.m. during a routine traffic check in the area of the A7 access ramp on Wiener Straße in the south direction, a vehicle driver ignored the stop signs and fled at far too high a speed. After he committed further traffic violations during his escape, his journey in the Muldenstraße area was ended by a patrol car parked sideways.
During the subsequent check, the officials found that the 19-year-old driver from the Linz-Land district did not have a driver’s license. After the police officers also “sensed a strong smell of cannabis”, they searched for drugs near the car and were successful. They found around 100 grams of cannabis flowers and plant parts.
The 19-year-old admitted that he had just thrown the drug out of the car. He also had a gram of hash with him. After he showed clear symptoms of a drug impairment, he was brought before a medical officer, who certified that he was unfit to drive. The man is shown.
