In this regard, the minister said that he considered “the possibility of integrating the network of suppliers that the company has for its gas and oil production, especially in Vaca Muerta”; and highlighted “the strength that the province has with our industries, since many are already producing inputs for this sector, which is constantly growing.”

YPF has programs to promote the productivity of supplier companies and improve the quality of the products and services it contracts, making available “different tools, both credit and certifications, even international, as well as training”detailed the minister.

The official, at the same time, maintained: “For us, as the Province of Santa Fe, this proposal is a win-win, because they have at their disposal a cluster of almost 300 companies from different sectors: metalworking, laboratories, knowledge economy, textile and health industries, which are already supplying these productions.”

Next, Puccini recalled that “since we took office we have been working with the Gas, Mining and Oil Board of the province of Santa Fe; and we participated in the San Juan Mining Expo, we were in Salta with our companies, and finally, in Neuquén, with 70 companies from Santa Fe, at the Argentine Oil & Gas Fair, and we had a meeting with the governor to advance an agreement.”

Launch

“On Thursday we are going to participate in the YPF launch of a supplier academy. “We are aligned on this agenda, because it is a great opportunity for our companies,” the minister highlighted.

He also announced that “we invite the president of YPF to visit our province, to have a meeting with this cluster of companies, and so that he can tell him about the production that Vaca Muerta will need, which today is the second largest unconventional resource in gas in the world, and this positions Argentina behind China.”

“The industries of Santa Fe are there to produce food and agriculture, but they also cannot stop looking at the oil, mining and gas development that the Argentine Republic is having,” Puccini concluded.

The meeting, which took place at the company’s offices, also included the Downstream executive vice presidents, Mauricio Martinand Public Affairs, Lisandro Deleonardis.
