In the middle of the decade of 1960, Ad Palmen, a man from Dordrecht, Netherlandsstarted a business buying and selling cars.
Over 40 years, he amassed an impressive collection of 243 unique vehicles, many of which became classic collectors.
As time passed and sales difficulties increased, Palmen decided to keep those cars he liked, keeping them in a warehouse near his house.

Over time, the interest of the neighbors grew, but Palmen He always kept his vehicles a secret. However, after being diagnosed with dementia, he made the decision to sell his valuable collection.
Upon opening the warehouse, those responsible for the auction were surprised to find iconic models such as a Lancia Aurelia B20, a Jaguar E-Type and a Mercedes-Benz 300S Roadster, among others.
All vehicles were in perfect condition and were started regularly to prevent deterioration. The collection, considered one of the best kept in Europewas finally auctioned, and although the names of the buyers were not revealed, it was learned that several purchased multiple cars.
