Zuppi reaffirmed the commitment to continue dialogue with the authorities and the value chain to advance the sectoral agenda.

Martín Zuppi was re-elected to preside over the Association of Automotive Factories (ADEFA) during the 2024/2025 financial year. The also president of FCA Automobiles Argentina SA, will be accompanied by Martin Galdeano (Ford Argentina) and Gustavo Salinas (Toyota Argentina SA), as vice presidents and by Marcellus Puig (Volkswagen Argentina SA) as Secretary.

This continuity was ratified during the celebration of the ADEFA year-end Assembly, held this Thursday, where the new Board of Directors was formed, which is completed with the other representatives of the Associates, as members: Raul Mier (General Motors Argentina), Takashi Fujisaki (Honda Argentina SA), Ricardo Cardozo (Iveco Argentina SA), Manuel Mantilla (Mercedes-Benz Argentina SA), Raúl Barcesat (Mercedes-Benz Trucks Argentina SAU), Ricardo Flammini (Nissan Argentina SA), Pablo Sibilla (Renault Argentina SA), Rodrigo Pérez Graziano (PSA Peugeot Citroën Argentina SA), and César Luis Ramírez Rojas (Scania Argentina SA).

In addition, during the assembly, the re-elected president reviewed the end of the year, the 2025 projections, pending issues and highlighted the challenges and opportunities facing the automotive sector. Also, he reaffirmed the commitment to continue the dialogue with the authorities and the value chain to advance the sectoral agenda.

Who is Martin Zuppi

Martín Zuppi joined the then Fiat group in 1996 as Commercial Logistics Manager. In 2002 he moved to Turin, Italy, where he worked as Manager of Commercial Vehicle Planning and Programming at Fiat Auto SA.

Later, he returned to Argentina in 2004 and for a year he was responsible for New Business Development. In 2005 he took over as Direct Sales Manager, a task he carried out until 2011 when he took on the responsibility of Commercial Manager of the Savings Plan for a period of one year, and then assumed the commercial management of FCA Automobiles in Argentina.

In 2014 he began his work as Sales Director in Argentina to later become General Director of FCA since 2018 and then president in 2021. Today he is General Director of Stellantis Argentina. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Martín Zuppi has a degree in International Commerce and has a PDD from the IAE Business School.

Days ago, he had declared: “As we have been anticipating for a few months and with the latest data, The sector has been improving its records and that leads us to close 2024 better than expected at the beginning of the year“.

In addition, he had highlighted the importance of growth in exports, and closed: ”If this behavior in the activity continues, 2025 is projected as a good year for the sector“.
