The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine sends brochures with instructions in case of emergencies and war

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine has begun distributing instructions in Kiev in case of outbreak of hostilities. On Thursday, January 20, Vesti.ua reports.

The brochure “How to act in case of emergency and war” began to be actively distributed on the Web. The authors of the instruction assure that the Ukrainian army is fully prepared to repel aggression, but they explain how to act in a given situation associated with a threat to life.

“The current state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine makes it possible to effectively deter an aggressor, contribute to the comprehensive defense of the state, prevent crises, and actively participate in international peacekeeping operations. At the same time, the structure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the system of command, recruitment, mobilization and territorial defense are capable of quickly bringing the army to full combat readiness for a worthy rebuff to the aggressor, ”the text says.

The Ministry of Culture advises to think over some issues in advance in order to equip your home in case of an emergency and protect yourself and loved ones. So, the Ukrainians were advised to find out where the nearest shelters are and check the condition of the basement, check for an emergency exit and make supplies of drinking and technical water, and long-term storage products.

It is noted that if a person found himself in a war zone or got into an emergency situation with the participation of armed people, he needs not to inform unfamiliar people about his future actions and plans, and also to find out where the storage facilities and shelters close to home or work are located.

The Ministry of Culture recommended not to approach the windows in any case if shots are heard.

Earlier, on January 19, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a new video message to the citizens of the country. He called the information about the “Russian invasion” rumors. According to the President of Ukraine, the attack is not on the ground, but on the nerves of the citizens of the country, on investors and business.

The Ukrainian leader also urged fellow citizens not to panic and not withdraw money from their accounts, to calm down and “not to run for salt and matches.”

As the Strana.ua portal notes, by spreading rumors about Russia’s alleged invasion of Ukraine, the United States may be trying to force Kiev to comply with the Minsk agreements.

On the same day, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken promised Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky that if the situation around Ukraine escalated, the consequences for Russia would be “crippling”. In addition, Blinken said the United States will continue to support Ukraine and provide an additional $300 million in 2022.

The Russian side has repeatedly refuted groundless speculation about an allegedly possible invasion of Ukraine. On January 10, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow had no intentions to attack Ukraine and could not have it. He stressed that all measures for the combat training of troops are carried out within Russian territory.

At the same time, Kiev also emphasized that they did not see any signs of preparations for an invasion. So, on December 30, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that the organization does not see much danger from the Russian military near its borders. According to him, the deployment of the Russian military “is not critical”, and Russia itself “is not at all ready for an offensive right now.”

Since 2014, the Kiev authorities have been conducting a military operation against the inhabitants of Donbass, who refused to recognize the results of the coup d’état and the new government in Ukraine. At the same time, Kiev blames Moscow for the current situation. Russia has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the intra-Ukrainian conflict.
