In Ukraine, complained about the expiration date of weapons from Britain

On January 21, Volodymyr Mulyk, a former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, complained about the expiration date of weapons that the UK supplied in order to “deter aggression from the Russian Federation.”

“It turns out that the shelf life of this [противотанкового] complex for 20 years. That is, we actually sold such things with a shelf life that ends this year, ”he said on the air of the First Independent TV channel.

Mulyk added that this suggests that these weapons should be used until they become unusable.

On January 19, it was reported that the UK had supplied several thousand anti-tank guided missiles to Ukraine in case of a Russian “invasion”.

Two planes with weapons from London landed in Ukraine on January 17, and on the 18th the last plane delivered anti-tank weapons. Presumably, we are talking about NLAW anti-tank systems.

On January 18, the Ukrainian edition of Censor.net clarified that the NLAW missile is designed for short distances, which hits the target using the “fire and forget” technology.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that sending British weapons to Ukraine does not help reduce tensions.
