Ukraine is perceived by the West as an instrument of influence, carrying out its interests in the region, destabilizing the situation, influencing certain processes and blaming Russia. This was stated in an interview with Izvestia by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“We need a reason, we need to support this fire of sanctions, constantly throw something there. What? Well, there are no facts proving our aggression, some kind of violation of international law by us, non-partner relations. Here they took Ukraine as a platform for experiments, the unfortunate Ukrainian people – multinational, by the way, ”added the diplomat.
In a conversation that took place after the talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Geneva, the diplomat also spoke about why Ukraine is remembered at every opportunity, and recalled the level of education of Western colleagues.
