Once the elections were over, Jaldo expressed: “Without a doubt, this victory means trust and adherence to the legacy left by the beloved comrade Leopoldo ‘Puma’ Rodríguez; and it strongly ratifies the support for our political space that always puts the interests of the people of Tucuman first.”
“The Government of the Province will continue to be at the side of the municipal administration, working jointly for the well-being of our people. We did a lot and there is still a lot to do, the people of Tucumán know that we are on the right path,” he concluded.
With 70% of the register of people from Cocheños who went to the polls, Rodríguez garnered more than 4,700 votes against 1,900 for Daniel Hoffmann, of the Frente Unión por La Cocha.
There were 26 tables set up, of which 13 were at the José M. Torres school and another 13 at school No. 244 Justo José de Urquiza. The security and custody of the elections will be in charge within the school establishments of the National Gendarmerie and outside the school establishments by the Provincial Police.
Internal code message
Although it is not a large electoral bastion, Osvaldo Jaldo played hard to win the elections in La Cocha and thus achieved a key victory to close the year and shore up his role as leader of Tucumán’s Justicialism, in the midst of the dispute with Juan Manzur.
It also matters because the governor of Tucumán broke with Unión por la Patria (UP) in order to be able to rehearse an autonomous position in his relationship with the Casa Rosada. Since that escape of three deputies, who left UP to form the Independence bloc, which occurred during the debate on the Bases law, the president became one of those closest to the libertarian management.
He even supported his counterpart from La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela, in his attempt to command the national Justicialist Party (PJ), an event that was finally aborted after the interference of Cristina Kirchner, who ended up keeping the position.
As he told Scope On the eve of the election, the Tucumán Government House played so much as a message that the closing of the official campaign was led by the candidate Rodríguez, Jaldo and the vice-governor Michael Acevedo.
Along with them was a large delegation of officials and provincial legislators, especially those closest to the former vice-governor of Tucumán. “There is no doubt that there is a lot of work here, a lot of effort, good work was done in the political, electoral and institutional spheres, there is no doubt that on Sunday the 24th, a woman will occupy the mayor of La Cocha,” said Jaldo in the act. “I have seen her work, I know that she is a trained, qualified woman, with tremendous sensitivity and a very important commitment. I have no doubt that Gaby is going to do an excellent job in La Cocha,” added Acevedo.
