The indicator that measures the EGovernment School of the Torcuato Di Tella University reflected a 9.86% increase in November compared to October and reached 2,66 points. In year-on-year terms, the increase was 88.7%.

The Government Trust Index (GCI) is measured on a scale from 0 to 5. The current measurement exceeded the Milei era trust average of 2.52 points during the 12 months of management.

The November measurement represented the second consecutive monthly increase in the level of confidence. Currently, the level of trust is 5.7% higher than that registered in 2016, during the government of Mauricio Macri, and 31.7% higher than in November 2020, in the administration of Alberto Fernández.

“The difference between the maximum and minimum value of ICG in the period December 2023 to November 2024 is 0.7 points,” explains the Di Tella report. If compared to previous administrations, during the Macri administration it was 0.62%, while the Frente de Todos government was 1.3 points.

According to the revelation of the last three months, between September and November, it appears that The confidence level rose by 23%. The variation was positive in all five components: Concern for the general interest (9.3%); General evaluation of the government (20%); Efficiency in the administration of public spending (12.1%); Honesty of officials (7.9%); and, finally, Ability to solve the country’s problems (3.2%).

Trust in Milei’s government according to gender, age and geographical area

The disaggregated analysis according to the gender of those consulted revealed that in September and October the November ICG was higher among men (4.1%) than women (17.5%).

The ICG also analyzed the evolution of confidence according to age. As in previous surveys, the one that rose the most was those over 50 years of age (14.5%), but, unlike October, the segment of young people between 18 and 29 years old was in second place (13 %).

Regarding the geographical area, In the same way as what happened in October, the November ICG registered its highest value among those who reside in the interior (2.93 points, with a positive variation of 11%). Next were the residents of the City (2.57 points, with a growth of 13.2%) and, finally, those who reside in the GBA (2.16 points, with an increase of 6.4%).

The index also evaluates the response according to the educational level of those consulted. Like last month, the highest registration was among those who reached up to tertiary and/or university education (2.79 points, with an increase of 9.8%) and followed by those who achieved secondary education (2.60 points, with a growth of 12.1%). In last place appear those who reached primary education (2.17 points, with a positive variation of 4.3%).

Regarding the crime victimshe November ICG was higher among those who were victims of violent events in the last 12 months (17.3%), than among those who say they had not been victims (7.8%).

Lastly, the ICG on economic perspective was higher among those who believe that the situation will be better in a year (4.26 points, with a growth of 5.7%), than among those who believe that it will remain the same (2.29 points, with a drop of 11, 2%) or that it will worsen (0.46 points, with a negative variation of 11.5%).
