Requirements to request free glasses
To access the free glasses offered by PAMI, it is essential to meet the following requirements and present the necessary documentation:
- National Identity Document (DNI) of the affiliate.
- PAMI membership credential.
- Electronic Medical Order (OME) issued by a PAMI ophthalmologist, which must include:
- Prescription of the necessary glasses.
- Signature, explanatory stamp of the doctor, and registration number.
- Validity of 150 days from issuance.
PAMI covers up to two pairs of free glasses per benefit yeareither one for near vision and another for distance vision or a pair of bifocal lenses. If this is the first time that bifocals are requested, the FIN Scale must be carried out according to the criteria of each agency.
Furthermore, if the member cannot adapt to bifocals, separate lenses for near and far will not be granted, and authorized opticians do not require a prior appointment to manage this benefit.
