These prospects are also good for the ski areas. Because some are opening earlier than usual this year due to the good snow conditions. For example in Hinterstoder, where ski fans can try their first runs this Saturday. The cable cars on the Wurzeralm will start operating a week later, on December 7th. The Hochficht ski area also starts a week earlier than usual, and partial operations there also begin this Saturday. In the Dachstein West region as well as on Kasberg, the winter season starts on Friday next week.

But how much do you have to dig into your pockets for skiing fun this year? The Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor provides an overview of the new ski ticket prices.

Dynamic prices for the first time

First of all: the ski areas Hochficht, Wurzeralm and Hinterstoder-Höss have introduced a dynamic pricing model for the first time this season. Basically, the earlier you book the card, the cheaper it is.
