According to the Ministry of Education, 247 tests were carried out in Salzburg this time (previous week: 122), in Styria there were 603 (259). The proportion of positive results has also increased significantly, but due to the technical problems experienced by the test provider in the previous week, the values are only comparable to a limited extent. There are currently 1,900 classes too.
For comparison: Last Friday, 1,800 classes were in distance learning due to increased corona cases. “It can be assumed that after the weekend classes came back to the presence and others were sent to distance learning,” said the Ministry of Education. Currently, in one case, face-to-face teaching continues in one class, but the remaining children then have to be tested daily for five days. If another corona case occurs in this class within three days, distance learning will be used. There are currently no closed schools.
