The police are questioning witnesses and participants in the brawl. A criminal case has been initiated under the article “Hooliganism”.
According to the newspaper Dumskaya, the conflict in the city council was arranged by Artem Dmitruk, who was expelled from the faction of the pro-presidential party Servant of the People. In June, a scuffle took place in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the consideration of amendments to the bill on the reform of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting. The reason was the words of the deputy from the Servant of the People party, Nikita Poturaev, about the need to “shoot the Opposition Platform.”
In March, the ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, together with fellow party members from the European Solidarity, staged a brawl with representatives of the Servant of the People party.
