Parliament asked the Public Ministry to investigate Guaidó for damages to the country

The resolution, voted by the vast official majority of the AN, also requested that the “actions” against Guaidó “and his accomplices” be carried out “immediately, promptly and urgently,” according to the Sputnik news agency.

The government accused the former deputy for the situation of Citgo and Monómeros, subsidiaries of the state oil company PDVSA and the state petrochemical company Pequiven in the United States and Colombia, respectively.

The assets of these companies remained in the hands of Guaidó and his allies by decision of the United States and Colombia, when he was appointed president in charge of Venezuela by the AN, then with an opposition majority, by disregarding the current mandate of President Nicolás Maduro, understanding that arose from irregular elections.

The ruling party also accuses Guaidó of 30 tons of state gold deposited in the Bank of England and more than 7,000 million dollars in foreign banks, frozen as a result of the sanctions imposed by various countries on the Maduro government.

On the other hand, the Public Ministry is already investigating Guaidó for accusations of kidnapping of resources, usurpation of functions, corruption, money laundering, continued public instigation of disobedience of laws and aggravated embezzlement, among others.
