The rapid deployment prevented damage in the millions. The fire alarm system, which was only purchased two years ago, has already paid for itself, according to commander Georg Moser.
The alarm went straight to the state warning center, which notified emergency services of the affected fire brigade and those in Ternberg via pager. A minute later the first arrived. A total of 40 people were deployed, who quickly managed to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire was initially unclear. “I would not have thought that our fire alarm system would prevent millions of euros in damage in the fire station after such a short period of operation,” says Moser, relieved in view of the expensive equipment that is stored there and recommends other communities to invest in fire alarm systems as well.
