What it’s about I know what they did last summer
The original film follows four young friends (played by Prinze, Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Philippe) brought together by a tragic accident and reunited when they are stalked by a hook-wielding maniac in their small coastal town.
I Know What They Did Last Summer, loosely based on Lois Duncan’s novel of the same name, was a success that led to the development of the sequel I still know what you did last summerwhich premiered in 1998. A third direct-to-video installment in the franchise, I’ll always know what you did last summer (2006), is considered an independent sequel since the story deviated from the first two installments and did not have an original cast to repeat their roles.
