The ship hit a house near the airport where two people were possibly affected. The trip from Uruguay lasted 34 minutes, after takeoff at 12:45 and impact at 1:19 p.m. The pilot Ezequiel Sucardi expressed in dialogue with C5N that in this case of accidents two factors “can play”: human error and technical failure. In addition, he maintained that “mechanical failure can always exist” because this type of aircraft at the moment of landing “is very arrogant.”

“The plane entered past the runway and for some reason could not stop, it ended up getting lost and colliding with homes that are next to the airport,” witnesses at the scene detailed.
According to aeronautical records, the Challenger had made two trips this Wednesday. It left for Punta del Este at 11:12 and landed in Uruguay at 11:44. An hour later it left the neighboring country for San Fernando, where it made landfall at 1:18 p.m.
The plane overshot the runway, could not stop and crashed into a fence. After the firefighters arrived at the airport, the work was extended to the destruction of two houses and a car. There was fire in the vicinity of the airfield due to the accident.
In addition, the crash caused damage and other fire outbreaks in nearby houses, which generated panic among neighbors. A strong Firefighters operation was deployed to put out the flames. The causes of the incident are currently unknown.
