President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday, January 27, said that he expects law enforcement officers to fully inform the public about the circumstances of the shooting in the Dnieper.
“The killer has already been arrested. I expect law enforcement officers to fully inform the public about all the circumstances of the crime. The motives of the killer, how this became possible – everything should be analyzed in the most detailed way, ”he wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian leader said that mandatory personnel conclusions should be made in the near future.
He expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims of the execution in the Dnieper and noted that the assistance they needed “should be provided without delay.”
Earlier that day, in Dnipro, a conscript took an AK-47 assault rifle from the armory and shot his colleagues in the guardroom. As a result of the shooting, five people were killed and five more were injured. At that time there were about 22 people there. Two managed to escape into the street, they called the police and doctors. The incident occurred on the territory of the Southern Machine-Building Plant.
According to the latest information, the shooter was detained.
The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) of the country opened a criminal case under paragraphs 1 and 4 of Part 2 of Art. 115 (“Deliberate murder”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
