López Obrador, 68, has been leaving the National Palace for the last three days to do some physical exercise after being practiced last weekend, at the Military Hospital, a catheterization, after which it was officially reported that his health is good and he does not suffer from any blockage in his arteries.
After the intervention, which occurred a week after he was infected for the second time in a year with Covid-19, a wave of versions was unleashed on social networks and the media about what he would have suffered an alleged heart attack, like the one he had in 2013 and some even pointed out that he had already experienced a “stroke”.
López Obrador, who is hypertensive, visited the Alianza de Tranviarios baseball park on Wednesday, in Iztapalapa, east of the capital, accompanied by some collaborators and his youngest son, Jesús Ernesto.
The media recorded that he walked slowly around the field twice, accompanied by another person, apparently one of his guards., and then sat in the stands to watch his son batting practice.
López Obrador said that since he started going to the baseball field because his doctors recommended he walk 20 or 30 minutes every day, he observed that some reporters they climbed on high surrounding areas, on the roofs of a building and a bank, to take images of their activity.
The president pointed out that if the media made reports “about my recovery or how I am progressing to get ahead” there would be no problem, but he regretted that these images are used to report “that I am dragging my feet” and that he is “growing old” (getting older) .
