The auctionwhich began at 10 in the morning, had 17 bidders who bid until 11:40 to win the coveted property. The bidding began with a base of US$6,378,968 and finally sold for US$18,500,000

The sale of this propertywas among the 300 sales of public buildings that the Government announced and with which it seeks to raise US$800 million. As explained by the State Asset Management Agency (AABE), which carried out the auction, 70% of the sale value will be allocated for INTA research work and 30% will enter the state coffers.

Who showed up at the auction

There were 17 renowned companies in the real estate sector that wanted to take over the building. This is a record number for this type of public auction. Although it has not yet been reported who all the bidders were, it is known that one of those who participated was Martin Santagada, from LINE, who bid for the building for a while. Santagada has interest and knowledge in the area, as an exclusive building will be completed next year in Barrio Parque, close to INTA.

ABV, which belongs to Mariano Boruchowicz, Javier Vilamowski and Ioram Amsel, and Eduardo Costantini’s Consultatio, are other companies that would have presented themselves. Contrary to what was believed, IRSA, headed by Eduardo Elzstain, was not at the auction.

What is the property like?

According to the AABE specifications, the property has a total buildable area of ​​10,126 m2. The building will be used for residential or office purposes. The land has an area of ​​919.10 m2 and a total covered area of ​​3,143.53 m2.

The document establishes as a charge for the sale that whoever acquires the property carry out a permanent construction work of at least 75% of the construction per square meter of covered surface.

The auction of the INTA building is part of the Government’s plan to sell 309 properties and public buildings. In addition, they will be auctioned estate in Rosario, La Plata, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Mendoza, Paraná, Corrientes and Mar del Plata.
