A year ago, the popular Ried city ball returned to its “old place of work”. After a four-year break, partly due to the corona pandemic, the Round Table 31 Ried event took place in the Jahnturnhalle. The largest charity ball in Upper Austria was held there between 1995 and 2009, then it moved to exhibition halls 18 and 19. The newly revised ball concept was well received by around 1,500 visitors last year, and the ball organizers at Round Table are correspondingly confident Ried before the 28th edition of the city ball on Saturday, January 18th.
“We started the preparations at the beginning of September. The really hot phase then starts with the construction in the three days before the ball. Everything is going according to plan,” says Hermann Richter-Irsigler, the 42nd president in the history of Round Table Ried. The presidency lasts one year.
“The decision to move the city ball back to the Jahnturnhalle was absolutely right. The atmosphere is dignified, the decoration options for the ball are very good. The cooperation with the ÖTB Ried gymnastics council works excellently. Even short-term requests from us are handled so well implemented as possible,” says Richter-Irsigler, who expects around 1,400 guests.
