Army expedition will arrive at the top of Aconcagua before climbing the Himalayas

This week, representatives of the Argentine Army is in the province of Mendoza with the aim of reaching the highest peak of the Andes Mountains and all of America: the Aconcagua. The next objective will be to participate in an international expedition in the Himalayas.

“The mountain hunters of the Argentine Army advance in the expedition to Aconcagua together with army patrols from India and France. Intense days of marching, acclimatization and preparing base camps mark this challenge in the mountain range. United at altitude, we strengthen ties and demonstrate the strength and professionalism of our Army,” says the official X account of the Ministry of Defense.

The Argentine representatives for the expedition come from the mountain brigades of the provinces of Salta, Neuquén and Mendoza.
