Nucleoelectrica Argentina reached a new record for electricity generation

The Atucha I, Atucha II and Embalse nuclear power plants generated 10,449,015 MWh, which represents 7.35% of the total energy generated in the country during last year.

Furthermore, last July NASA achieved a new monthly record for electricity generation, reaching 1,174,116 MWh in a single month.

During 2024, nuclear generation in Argentina continued to surpass its own records and reach levels of excellence, which allowed it to achieve sustained increases in its production and establish new generation records.

Nuclear operates the Atucha I, Atucha II and Embalse nuclear power plants, which together have an installed capacity of 1,763 MW, providing approximately 8% of the country’s electrical energy.

The company is responsible for the operation and maintenance of these plants, as well as the marketing of energy in the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) and the development of projects that ensure the safe and reliable operation of its facilities.
