The Volkswagen brand is expanding its SUV range quickly and consistently: After the VW Tiguan comes the much more spacious VW Tayron, which is 4.79 meters long and has five or seven seats. In terms of positioning, the new addition, which is built in Germany, fits right between the Tiguan and Touareg in the Wolfsburg-based model range.
The VW Tayron, which celebrated its Austrian premiere in Vienna this week, replaces the VW Tiguan Allspace, but is more than just an extended Tiguan. It is supposed to be more independent, which is why the five-door model has been given its own name.
