ARBA will reward good taxpayers with discounts of up to 15%

The Collection Agency of the province of Buenos Aires (ARBA) implemented a new bonus scheme for property taxes that will take effect during 2025, with greater benefits for those who keep their tax obligations up to date.

The maturities of these taxes will begin to operate from the month of March.

The measure covers real estate taxes (in all its variants: Built, Vacant and Rural, both in its basic and complementary components), Automotive and Sports Boats.

ARBA will benefit “good taxpayers”

Taxpayers who choose Advance annual payment will be able to access a discount of up to 15%, while those who choose payment in installments through automatic debit and do not have debts with the treasury will obtain a 10% bonus.

The scheme includes a 5% bonus for good compliance, applicable to both the annual payment and the quota system. To access this benefit, taxpayers must not register debts in the taxable object and must maintain this situation until 5 business days before expiration.

It is important to highlight that, to maximize benefits, taxpayers must have their CUIT/CUIL/CDI associated with the corresponding assets. Otherwise, the bonus will be reduced, being 12.5% for annual payment and 7.5% for payment in installments with automatic debit.

Interested parties can manage these benefits, consult their tax situation and link CUIT/CUIL/CDI through the official website www.arba.gov.ar/beneficios, where they will find detailed information about all the available bonuses and a simplified process to access these tax advantages.

On its website, ARBA clarified that there will be no expirations for these taxes during January and February. This is because the Legislature did not approve the Tax Law sent by the Executive Branch in December, which forced the governor Axel Kicillof to extend both that rule and the provincial Budget.

Traditionally, the first installment of the Real Estate tax is due in February and the Patent in March. However, in 2025, ballots will not be issued at least until the third month of the year. However, the Government indicated that The first Real Estate installment will contemplate the same values as in 2024 and it was pointed out that this year the discounts for good taxpayers will return: Those who do not register debt and opt for the annual advance payment of property taxes will obtain a discount of up to 15%.

The Gross Income Tax expiration calendar details the dates on which local taxpayers and those of the multilateral agreement must submit the sworn declaration.
