The 42-year-old, who was born in Serbia, appeared as part of a gang that operated out of Turkey and called people whose first names in the phone book indicated an older age.

In this specific case, the victims were Hilda, Karin, Maria, Elisabeth and Brigitta. The man on the other end of the line told them the police had found a list of planned burglaries that included their address. To protect their property, a plainclothes officer will come by and secure the valuables so that they do not fall into the wrong hands.
This alleged policewoman mimicked the accused, who now “totally guilty” confessed, as she emphasized. She got involved in the role-playing game because of her boyfriend at the time.
The 42-year-old said she “didn’t talk much” but showed a fake police ID card. Between January and April 2021, five victims handed her cash that they had withdrawn from the bank by closing their savings accounts on prior telephone instructions. The youngest victim was 65, the oldest 90 years old.
