“I’m a detective”: Pensioner wanted free sex with a prostitute

The Linz police are currently investigating a 61-year-old pensioner on suspicion of attempted usurpation. The man is said to have posed as a “criminal officer” to a prostitute because he wanted to have sex without payment. But without success.

According to the press office of the State Police Headquarters in Upper Austria, the incident happened in October of the previous year. The pensioner, who had never worked as a police officer or even a criminologist, was in contact with a 44-year-old sex worker from Romania. He served this up a fairy tale via messenger. He is a police officer and is currently conducting an important surveillance. She should therefore not receive any more suitors today. As “proof” that he was actually an official, the man sent the woman a photo showing a watch with a red, blue and white face. This bears the inscription “Police”.

The 61-year-old repeatedly pointed out during communication that he worked as a detective. She must be grateful to him, said the fake policeman, because after all he had often saved her from police checks. He is also said to have threatened that the woman could otherwise face heavy fines.

However, the prostitute never agreed to meet the 61-year-old. This was reported at large. In the meantime, the Linz public prosecutor’s office had received the complaint, a spokeswoman for the authorities confirmed to the OÖ Nachrichten yesterday.
