Corina Machado highlighted the importance of the situation in Venezuela for the entire region

For his part, Machado referred to the meeting on his social networks and thanked the US official for the “excellent conversation” they had shortly after he took office. On this point, he considered that the speed in having the meeting “demonstrates the importance of the situation in Venezuela and the well-being of Venezuelans and the region, for US foreign policy.”

“Edmundo González Urrutia and I convey to you the strength and determination of Venezuelans in advancing to achieve the freedom of our country and the return to democracy,” he expressed.

Finally, he concluded the message he published on his X account by stating that “the transition to democracy in Venezuela is crucial for regional stability and the security of the hemisphere“. “We know that we have our strategic allies to achieve this,” he concluded.
