The motorcycle manufacturer KTM AG needs bridging financing amounting to a three-digit million amount, as will be announced on November 13th. In the days that followed, it emerged that 300 jobs would be lost this year; at the beginning of 2025, there would be a production stop until the end of February in order to reduce high inventories. On November 26th, however, it became public that KTM was insolvent and had to file for self-administration bankruptcy at the end of the month.
From today’s perspective, the KTM parent Pierer Mobility Group expects consolidated sales of around EUR 1.9 billion for 2024 (previous year: around EUR 2.7 billion). This corresponds to a decline of around 29 percent compared to the 2023 financial year, according to a mandatory publication that the listed Mattighofen motorcycle manufacturer published on Thursday evening.
