It was the most successful domestic movie film 30 years ago: “Has hunting – there is no mercy out of loud cowardice” by Wels director Andreas Gruber. At that time, 125,000 viewers went to the cinemas. The film will come back to the light theater next week – digitized.
The time is not chosen by accident: February 2 is the anniversary of the so -called “Mühlviertler Hasenjagd”, the cruel man’s hunt that occurred in 1945 in the communities around the Mauthausen concentration camp. At that time, 500 Russian officers broken out of the concentration camp were hunted and murdered by the SS and civilian population – only eleven survived.
