On May 15, the 23-year-old Johannes Pietsch, who has been successful on the state opera stage and also a candidate at “Starmania”, has to fight his final ticket for the final round on May 17th.

Artists with stage experience
This year Austria is relating to a real Pietschboy as a candidate who, despite his only 23 years, can fall back on a great stage experience and look beyond the Alpine edge. So the Austrian-Philippine counter was born in Vienna, but grew up with his family in Dubai, where he attended the German International School and speaks according to fluent German, English, Tagalog and French.

From “Starmania” to the State Opera
When Johannes Pietsch was 15 years old, the family moved back to Vienna. After graduation there, the musician started his career. This included participation in the ORF entertainment show “Starmania” in 2021, where he catapulted himself into the final show. At the same time, Pietsch continued to live his second mainstay, that of the classic counter, and attended the opera school of the Vienna State Opera.

In the meantime, he regularly succeeds here on the stage of the traditional house on the ring. So he was seen here in supporting roles in “Macbeth”, “Billy Budd” or “Tschick”. At the opening gala, he performed the new location Nest and was last as the 1st boy in the premiere of the new “Magic Flute” on Monday on the boards that mean the world – to see on February 7th in ORF 2.
