Will second division soccer team FC Blau-Weiss Linz lose their best goalscorer of the autumn season at the end of the winter transfer period? As the OÖN learned, Bundesliga club Admira is trying hard for Stefano Surdanovic (five goals).
As reported, the 23-year-old will not be renewing his contract, which expires in summer – so winter is the last chance to collect a (small) fee for the offensive player. However, the clubs have not yet reached an agreement. Irrespective of a possible change, Surdanovic was rested in yesterday’s friendly against Upper Austrian division club Donau Linz (final score 5:1). Tobias Koch and Fabio Strauss also got a break against Kleinmünchen.
Definitely not a possible replacement for Surdanovic is the Belgian Jorn Vancamp, who was able to convince in the trial training in Linz towards the end of the autumn season. The 23-year-old joined the Finnish first division club Ilves Tampere. Curious: Blue and white would have invited the attacker to Linz again for the start of training, and even took care of the fitness of the ex-Anderlecht kicker during the winter break with training plans. From one day to the next, however, he no longer reported to the people of Linz
Forward Steyr – who won 2-0 in a snowstorm yesterday against regional league club Vöcklamarkt – will probably only be leaving: The brothers Daniel and Patrick Bilic (Micheldorf) are to be loaned out. Ivan Sarcevic is currently doing a trial at another club.
LASK without changes
Until February 7th, the transfer window in Austria is still open, while in most other European countries it is already closed for arrivals.
No major changes are to be expected at LASK. The squad in attack is full, which is why a signing of Yevhen Konoplyanka is not an option.
