Gertraud Scheiblberger takes over VP chairmanship in the Rohrbach district

DISTRICT ROHRBACH. It was already clear on the evening of the election last fall that a generational change was imminent in the Rohrbach People’s Party. After the defeat of the incumbent chairman Georg Ecker in his home community Kollerschlag, grumbling began immediately in the district party leadership. Now Candlemas actually becomes the day of Loss for Ecker. The district party executive of the ÖVP chose this day to set the course for the future and designated state parliamentarian Gertraud Scheiblberger as district party chairwoman and Oberkappel’s mayor Manuel Krenn as her first deputy.

The proposal was developed by a working group set up by the district party board in a multi-stage process in which, among others, the district chairmen of all sub-organizations and the mayor’s spokesman were involved, and decided unanimously by the district party board. This proposal will now be presented to the VP top functionaries of the Rohrbach district and is to be put to a vote at the next ordinary district party conference, which is planned for May.

shape the future

“It is important to me that the VP of the Rohrbach district continues to create the best possible conditions for all Rohrbach residents together with the communities in the future. I am pleased that we were able to win my colleague Gertraud Scheiblberger for this position of district party chairwoman and that this is the first time that a woman will take on this important function and that the mayors, through their deputy, Manuel Krenn, will have a strong representation at the head of the VP Rohrbach have,” says the outgoing district party chairman Georg Ecker.

The future leadership duo is pleased about the unanimous decision in the district party executive and the trust it has shown: “The future of the Rohrbach district and its people is important to us, which is why we have agreed to take on responsibility. In addition to the already well-known projects, we want to devote ourselves to future topics in the coming years so that Rohrbach continues to be one of the most liveable regions. Scheiblberger and Krenn also focus on the 37 communities in the Rohrbach district. These should continue to be supported by the office of VP Rohrbach and the two state parliamentarians Ecker and Scheiblberger.
