A “time bank” locks up in Sierning

The neighbor of the neighbor urgently needed tutoring in English, at the same time the withered asters would be cleared away from the family grave, which is not possible after the knee operation. The “Zeitbank Plus” association solves such everyday problems in one fell swoop, on top of that it does not cost any money. In the Kirchdorf district, there are already clubs in Klaus on the Pyhrnbahn, Molln, Pettenbach, Schlierbach and in the city of Kirchdorf, whose members exchange activities of neighborhood aid. Now there is also a platform in Sierning, which is supported by the “Guat older in Sierning” by the community.

The foundation is preceded by two information evenings, the first will take place on February 24 at 6 p.m. in the Sierninghofen event center, the second will be held on February 25 at 6 p.m. in the Sierning municipal office. “By giving and taking without money, cohesion and social interaction in our community are encouraged and strengthened,” says Vice Mayor Ursula Auer (SP).

As part of the “Zeitbank”, members of the platform bring everything like purchases, authorities, domestic and gardening, grave care, computer work, childcare, walking with dogs, tutoring. The time credit in the form of checks posted on an account can then be easily called up via an EDP program and claimed for your own concerns. New members can register for monthly round tables and offer new activities. “Where the” Zeitbanks “have been introduced, they are indispensable from community life,” say the pioneers from other communities.

In Molln, the “cooperative” of the time bank also blossomed into a social group. In summer you make a barbecue festival and take excursions to sights and exhibitions in the near and more distant surroundings.
