Car collided with train at Bad Ischl: “How through a miracle” no injured

Four fire brigades, emergency doctor, red cross, lifeguarding helicopter, ÖBB employee and several police strips were used on Tuesday afternoon after an accident at a level crossing at Bad Ischl. The task word “Personal rescue traffic accident train” suggested bad things. In fact, around 3 p.m. at an unrestricted intersection in Mühlenweg, a car was collided with a full -time regional train. According to the police, the handlebar may have overlooked the red light because of the low, dazzling sun. Even the train driver’s hup signals could no longer prevent the accident.

Lenant “shocked but unharmed”

The impact was so violent that the red Renault was thrown into an adjacent field, where it remained heavily demolished. “As if by a miracle, the driver was neither caught nor injured,” says the Bad Ischl fire department. The 49-year-old from the Gmunden district was able to leave the wreck independently. When the emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident, he was “shocked but unharmed” next to the car. According to the police report, the train driver and the approximately 100 passengers of the regional train should have survived the accident unscathed.
