Every year, now for the 13th time, March is in the Innviertel in the sign of beer. A mixture of beer, cuisine, art and culture is served at the Innviertel Biermärz. The series of events, in addition to nine breweries, opens up on the last day in February. The official opening at Gasthof Bauböck in Andorf will take place on Friday, February 28th. “We will offer different corridors at several stations. For me, beer is a relaxed, casual product. With us you can regularly cost between twelve and 15 different beers,” said Sebastian Voglmayr from Gasthof Bauböck on Wednesday at a press conference in the Gastnusswerk restaurant in Kirchheim . At the opening, “Walhalla” will come a very special male singing club from Berlin to Andorf. For bass baritone Philipp Mayer, a native of Andorfer, it becomes a “home game”.
“At the birth of the Biermärz, I was able to act as a kind of midwife,” said Gerald Hartl from the S’innviertel tourism association. “The program is extremely broad. I’m happy and am great motivated,” said Hartl. As usual, there will be special, tasty menus with several “beer regions hosts” in March. The right beers are tapped and served.
Program for younger target group
“Together with the brewers, we targeted events for a younger audience this year,” said Andrea Eckerstorfer, project manager of the Innviertel beer region. Among other things, on Saturday, March 8, there will be a “U-30 morning pint” on the ship of Captain Manfred Schaumecker in Schärding. The Schnaitl brewery invites you to a beer pong tournament in Gundertshausen on Saturday, March 15th.
