Valentine’s Day ended in an elaborate rescue operation for two young Lungauer: The man and the woman had strayed from the snow -covered B99 with their car on Friday evening while driving towards Obertauern and falling 80 to 90 meters over an extremely steep embankment into a ditch . There remained the completely demolished car in a frozen stream bed.
“You were responsive”
The 18-year-old driver and his passenger survived the accident with apparently not too serious injuries. They were neither trapped in the wreck nor passed out. “The two were responsive when we arrived. They had many guardian angels,” says Michael Koch jun.
