The man was wanted on a European arrest warrant after the altercation in which four people were injured. The 28-year-old and his dealer, a 25-year-old Serb, clashed on the night of January 11 over outstanding payments and made an appointment to meet the next day. They each took a brother with them.
The 28-year-old Braunauer had a pistol and a baseball bat with him, the other two men came by car and were armed with knives. When the driver saw the dummy pistol, he steered his car directly towards the opponent. This was caught by the front of the vehicle and dragged along several meters. The man from Braunau and his brother then smashed the car window, dragged the occupants out and beat them. The Serbs remained injured on the ground, the two opponents fled. One of the Serbs was taken to the Ried prison.
During the investigation, the police not only seized the murder weapons and drugs – marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine – but also ten fake corona vaccination cards that were hidden in a laundry drum. The Upper Austrian brothers traded it, and several customers from Braunau were identified.
