A resident of the UK won £109.9 million ($148.5 million) in the EuroMillions European lottery. On Saturday, February 5, reports Sky News.
“The first EuroMillions Super Draw of 2022 ended with a UK ticket holder jubilant after all the numbers matched to win the jackpot,” the organizers said in a statement.
At the same time, the winner, who guessed all seven numbers of the draw, has not yet appeared, so the participants in the draw were urged to check their tickets.
On October 5, an American won almost $700 million in the lottery. The winnings became the seventh largest in the history of the United States. In California, the winner of the Powerball lottery matched all six numbers on one ticket.
The ticket was purchased at a grocery store in Morro Bay. The winner will be able to either claim their prize in full over 29 years or take $496 million straight away.
Earlier, in January, an American won $1 million due to a cashier’s mistake. It is noted that the woman along with the products purchased several lottery tickets. The cost of each of them did not exceed $10, but the cashier accidentally sold her a $20 ticket, which turned out to be the winning one.
