Antonov called the Bloomberg article about the “invasion” of the Russian Federation into Ukraine an outrage

On February 5, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov criticized the erroneous publication of material about Russia’s alleged invasion of Ukraine, prepared in advance by Bloomberg.

“Building some illusory projects of Russian aggression is just nonsense. Of course, what happened tonight at night is just a disgrace, ”Antonov said on the air of the Solovyov Live YouTube channel.

According to the diplomat, it is impossible to explain how the agency decided to publish a pre-prepared article that can be released on the Web by “pressing a button.”

“And what is really true and what the Americans don’t want to say that they are pumping Kiev, the armed forces of Ukraine, with weapons,” the ambassador added.

Earlier in the day, Bloomberg released a text referring to Russia’s alleged “invasion” of Ukraine, and removed it soon after. The journalists later posted a post in which they apologized for the incident, calling it a mistake. The agency explained that they are preparing headlines for many scenarios and the headline “Russia invades Ukraine” was published unintentionally.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the erroneous publication of Bloomberg speaks of the danger of aggressive statements by the United States and the capitals of the West. He noted that after the incident, the term “fake news” can be replaced with “bloomberg news”, “which will be justified.”

In turn, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stressed that speculation about Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine is “a crime against the planet and democracy.” Democracy is now undergoing a colossal test, the diplomat added.

On February 3, U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price made a statement that Russia was allegedly preparing a video that would show an attack on it by Ukraine.

However, he was unable to provide any evidence of the preparation of the video and disclose what kind of information the US authorities have in this regard.

Western politicians and media representatives continue to spread numerous speculations about possible Russian aggression against Ukraine. The Russian side has repeatedly refuted such statements, emphasizing that it has no plans to invade a neighboring country.

So, on January 28, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia was not going to start a war with Ukraine, and Western countries and the United States were “hysterically” developing the topic of a threat to Ukraine from the Russian Federation instead of forcing Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements.
