Among them are antiparkinsonian medications such as opicapona, as well as others used to treat psychiatric disorders, such as aripiprazole, which is used in diseases such as schizophrenia and Tourette syndrome.

The report highlights that the relationship between these drugs and the Ludopathy It lies in its interaction with dopamine receptors in the brain, which could generate a predisposition to develop this disorder.

Although the adverse effects were already known in some cases, the Health Report is the first to gather all these medications in a single list.

The health authorities urged to carry out close monitoring of patients who are taking these medications, in order to detect possible side effects and ensure proper treatment.
