The best of the country
In Upper Austria, the ranking at the top remains unchanged. With 99 points and four forks, Lukas Nagl from the boathouse in Traunkirchen defends its top position. Philip Rachinger from the OIS in the Mühltalhof continues to cook one point behind. The Tanglberg in Vorchdorf with Max Schellerer is also top, which now shares third place with the forest tavern in Grieskirchen and the mother-son team Elisabeth and Clemens Grabmer. Both restaurants hold 96 points on four forks and 96 points.
The Lukas restaurants in Schärding, the Linz restaurants Rossbarth and Verdi as well as Lukas Kapeller from Steyr get four forks. The chic restaurant was celebrated as a new opening of the year last year and this time improves by two points.

The “Best New Opening of 2025” award comes from Upper Austria again: The Belétage in Traunkirchen with Patron Wolfgang Gröller, “Grand Master” Lukas Nagl and Sussuschef Max Deuker convinced the testers with a remarkable concept. “In addition to the grandiose fire kitchen and the always outstanding fish, it is primarily the anti -cyclical opening times that make this place so unique in the entire Salzkammergut,” writes the guide. After the bar in the Belétage under Marcus Volsa was awarded the best, the restaurant shines in the gourmet headlight.
Special editions
At two more prizes, the native of Upper Austrians triumphed Josef Neulinger (Almhof Schneider, Lech) and Toni Tossmann (Mochi Group, Vienna). Neulinger was awarded the best sommelier, Tossmann receives the title “Best Service of the Year.”
