AK calls for a quick solution to the parking lot misery

The Chamber of Labor is committed to quickly eliminating the parking lot misery at Vöcklabruck train station. As is well known, there are often hardly any parking spaces to be found in the morning hours. The construction of a parking deck at the train station would certainly help to make it easier for many commuters to switch to the environmentally friendly train, Michael Weidinger is convinced.

Only 19.1 percent of employees from the district of Vöcklabruck have their workplace at their place of residence. 49.6 percent commute within the district and 31.3 percent have to commute out of the district. 31.6 percent of Vöcklabruck commuters have to travel at least 40 km there and back.

Last year, 6953 AK members turned to the Chamber of Labor in Vöcklabruck with labor and social law issues. In total, last year AK Vöcklabruck made payments totaling more than eight million euros to labor and social law claims and to claims for insolvency for its members.
