Already in the entrance area, visitors envelop the smell that is reminiscent of happy childhood moments. “There is certainly a better time to visit a chocolate factory than Lent,” joked Governor Thomas Stelzer (VP).
Yesterday he visited the Hofer chocolate factory with Mayor Gerhard Huber and the member of the state parliament Michael Weber (both VP). In the former warehouse, the food dealer has been producing chocolate boards since the 1980s.
They are delivered to the whole world by Sattledt: from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Slovenia to the United Kingdom and the USA to China. “We have already produced for Australia, but we are currently missing the capacities,” says factory manager Thomas Hofer. Therefore, it is currently being examined whether the two existing ones should be supplemented by a third production street.
