Since the beginning of the pandemic, over 3.7 billion euros have been paid out to around 600,000 applicants. The cancellation bonus was reintroduced for November 2021 to March 2022, the maximum limit is 2.3 million euros (instead of the previous 1.8 million euros). The bonus can be requested if there is a drop in sales of at least 40 percent compared to the same month in 2020. Depending on the cost structure of the industry, a replacement rate of 10 to 40 percent then comes into play.
“With the cancellation bonus, we provide quick and targeted help when there are high sales losses.
