The former Franciscan monastery at Wienerstraße 4 has received a new roof. The old roof structure already had deformation and massive damage – not least, the statics of the historical building suffered. In the past few weeks, the roof has now been renovated and the crawling room, which is rented, among other things, has a safe roof over the head again.
Franciscans were here until 2013
The building itself has long history – in the Middle Ages it was a brewery, after which the church bought it. It became the rectory. At the end of the 1960s, the priests moved out, after which the Franciscans moved in, who lived here between 1974 and 2013 and then in the converted building complex of the Church of St. Marien.
