There are twelve savings banks in Linz, six of whom are pure service points – so only bank extracts can be printed out, transfers can be made and cash can be remedied. In the first two months of this year, three such branches were closed.
A service point was abandoned in Pichling, also on the Bindermichl and at the city limits in Hart in Leonding. Those in Muldenstrasse also blocks – probably in June. While the first two banking positions have been canceled at all, there will be both replacements in the latter. The Sparkasse in Hart is dragged and rebuilt. The bank has been here for more than 40 years, where the “Martinihof” inn was previously located. When the building will be torn down is still in the stars, and it is only fixed for the time being that it is being rebuilt. A submission plan must first be removed from the city.
New location: “High Five”
The branch that is located in Muldenstrasse is a location laying. The new branch, almost one and a half kilometers away, will in future be located on Bulgariplatz in the 70 meter high “High Five” tower.
Three branches have been closed in the past year and a half – in the Franckviertel, in the Biesenfeld and on the Froschberg. “The existing branches and the self-service locations are continuously evaluated,” says Sparkassen press spokesman Stefan Neubauer. However, the supply of cash is secured – after all, there are new “players” on the market: Supermarkets offer a money fixture service at the cashier.
The use of the customers has changed massively in recent years – at the latest since Corona this has played cashless numbers, including via smartphone, an enormously important role. It was also a advice center in Wels when the Sparkasse, says the Sparkasse. The booked dates take place by phone or by video. So long journeys are obsolete. A third of the customers use this service.
In addition, many banks are done via a smartphone app anyway. Apart from pure calls-the banking apps are in sixth place in the most used apps. Whatsapp, photography, the alarm clock, the calendar and SMS are in front.
