After three defeats at the start of the 2010 semi -final series between the Vienna Captials and the Black Wings, the Linz were 0: 3 before the fourth game and thus with their backs to the wall. For the first time in the history of the domestic ice hockey league, the Linzers succeeded in what no one had thought possible: they won four times in a row and still moved to the final. This series should later go into the history of league under the terms “Re-Sweep series”, “Wonder of Linz” or “Wonder from Vienna. Even in the NHL, this has only happened four times.
