Iran, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, China and the United States, the signatories of the 2015 nuclear agreement, have been holding negotiations since last year to try to resume the pact, with Washington participating indirectly.
After months of stagnation, in recent weeks there has been progress in recovering the agreement, according to which Iran agrees to drastically limit its nuclear activities in exchange for the lifting of international sanctions against it.
In 2018, the United States, under then President donald trumpunilaterally withdrew from the agreement, causing Iran to progressively cease to fulfill its obligations.
